A short little update! Hello friends and family, as you know I have been in a season of building a missional investment team, and I wanted to share a little of what I have learned during this process. Missions is a yes to God, what He is doing and how He is inviting us into it. A big word that has stuck out to me in this season is “ownership”: the reality that we are to with confidence hold on to what the Lord has called us to step into. This word has meant a lot to me because building a team is not easy, to ask people to step into something with you is not easy, and rejection is not easy. But learning how to step into ownership has taught me that Christ is building something that is greater than myself; I am stepping into something that will outlast me. Rejection is part of the process and instead of taking it personally I embark on releasing it to God. Greater surrender. If you want to enter into something that will allow you to grow in surrender, give your finances to the Lord!

During this process I've had practice this daily. Why? because only God can move hearts. Something that has been brought to mind recently, a thought that came to me at the beginning of this process which I forgot amidst the grind of support raising, is the reality of the Lord's faithfulness financially in my life. A part of my story is being adopted which in part was made possible through the financial yes of so many people. God spoke and people responded. The truth? That is not just something that happened back then in my life God continues His faithfulness in my life today. This has been a season of growing trust in this truth, currently I am about 33% funded, meaning I have about $1,000/monthly raised of my $3,000/monthly support that I am in need of by August 1st. I truly believe that God has called me to Circuit Riders to grow my missional calling to be a voice that activates others into their missional calling and God given identity. Circuit Riders will help me grow this gift, acquire this skill and generate this ability in my life through my role as an outreach leader. My job within CR will be to communicate, organize and execute outreach teams to Historically Black Colleges and Universities, high schools, and communities. Among other staff responsibilities, this will be my main role within Circuit Riders, Black Voices.

And as I say yes I invite you reader into venturing into this with me financially through giving, prayerfully, through seeking the Fathers heart with me and connectively through the mobilization of the vision. This means, if you can not give but know someone who can, great! How can I get a hold of them and share with them what God is doing? This is just the beginning! I can not wait to see the CONTINUED move of God for this generation, the generations before and the generations to come.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
